Email Subject: [Input Role] Volunteer Application
Social Media
Hello,
Thank you for applying to join Take Back Your Mind UK's Social Media Department!
Some Basic Info
This role is entirely remote and online based.
We primarily use Google Suite (workspace)
There are opportunities to move around the organisation, and progress to voluntary leadership roles.
Although we ask for between 4-8 hours a month, contributions are fundamentally availability based, so we'll ask your availability when you start.
Below is a link to complete an online introductory chat with VIPR, "without the people". If you complete it and find you'd benefit from a chat with a human, let us know.
Kindly,
Applicants will be prompted to utilise VIPR before being offered an audio/video chat; these can be held via telephone, Teams, Google Meets, or Zoom. We ask that virtual chats are only done when the applicant requests it.
We keep introductory chats as informal as possible, so although we like to have a structure, it's okay to deviate.
VIPR - Volunteer Introductory Presentation Resource - allows applicants to complete an online read-only version of the Volunteer Introductory Chat. If this option is selected by the individual, you likely will not be told, but they may ask for direction once completed, if they wish to continue.
After the individual has confirmed their interest in joining, or seeks direction after completing VIPR, send the joining volunteer our 'Welcome' email with the required documents. You can use the template provided below. The wording can be amended to suit each individual for a better person-centred approach. The text may need reformatting once pasted.
If the new starter completes self-registration via VIPR, you will not need to send a welcome email; however, the VINFO Completion material should be sent once their registration is confirmed, either by HR or the new starter.
