Appendix 1 - Appropriate Standards

Volunteers are expected to adhere to the following standards during their engagement with TBYMUK:

- Follow the guidelines outlined in this agreement.

- Complete relevant training for your role, emphasising ongoing learning.

- Uphold honesty and integrity, and avoid actions that could harm TBYMUK's reputation.

- Prioritise self-care and seek support if your role compromises your well-being.

- Accurately track your volunteering hours.

- Refrain from using illegal drugs during your volunteer hours; violations will result in suspension.

- Avoid substance misuse impacting your work; this includes alcohol and other substances.

- Obtain approval for any work bearing TBYMUK branding or representation.

- Refrain from posting sensitive content or personal views under TBYMUK's name.

- Only offer crisis support if appropriately trained; signposting is encouraged.

- Report to the safeguarding officer if someone is at risk of harm.

- Do not commit TBYMUK to any services or financial obligations.

- Refer media inquiries to a director.

- Handle complaints following organisational procedures.

- Refer donations and gifts to a director.

- Disclose past and future criminal records as per our policy.

- Handle personal data in compliance with Data Protection and GDPR.

- Do not claim TBYMUK assets or change passwords without approval.

- Engage in constructive communication and attend meetings.

- Complete all provided training.

Appendix 2 - Health and Safety

- Prioritise personal health and safety, avoiding risky situations.

- Exercise caution when meeting unfamiliar colleagues; inform someone of your whereabouts.

- Limit computer screen time to 60 minutes; adhere to our H&S Policy.

- If working at a desk, be prepared for remote desk assessments.

- Prioritise your well-being; report strain immediately.

Appendix 3 - Equal Opportunities

- Uphold our commitment to equality and diversity.

- Refrain from unlawful discrimination or harassment based on protected characteristics.

- Ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment.

- Seek to make opportunities for growth available to all volunteers.

Appendix 4 - Legal

- Volunteers are not salaried employees and don't receive financial compensation.

- Reward mechanisms should not involve monetary compensation.

- Perks are discretionary and not automatic rights.

- Volunteers can exit voluntarily without compromise.

- While a minimum commitment is requested, all contributions matter.

- All documents are subject to updates, with timely communication to volunteers.
